This song is the most recent to date recording on this entire EP. It was written in 2013 after Zack made a full recovery from mental issues he had in 2012. The songs lyrics were written about trying to understand the world in a distorted manner. When somebody has a chemical imbalance in their brain or has a mental disorder reality can often be distorted. So a lot of the lyrics in the first verse pertain to the way he interpreted his own thoughts and also trying to remember the blurry areas of not being fully sane while coming back to it at once

The chorus deals with the paranoia a crazy person has of thinking a god, circumstances, or other unknown threats had taken away moments of life and made a monster out of them. But ultimately feeling liberated in the lack of control of ones life and thoughts. The next part being the recovered present day person reminiscing and romanticizing insanity.

The next verse about the captain speaking words in tongue's was a autobiographical reference to an actual man Zack knew in the mental hospital he was housed in that everyone called The Captain. This rather older asian man that hopped around the room in a imitation of a rabbit and then spoke in gibberish to everybody. The remainder of the verse deals with being lost and scared of never coming back. But ultimately releasing you have to keep trying.

One side effect of certain mental illnesses is a thing called thought projection. Where a person thinks they can hear other peoples thoughts or know what they are going to think before they do.

The ending was written in honor of two people that helped bring him back to sanity. And still not understanding why he still has thought projection.
